As someone who was constantly guilty of forgetting to buy cards for special occasions, back in 1999 I was inspired to start designing and creating handmade cards as a hobby - for me the perfect pastime! Little did I realise back then how completely enjoyable and rewarding this aspect of my life would prove to be.

The response received from friends and family upon opening their handcrafted cards was truly exceptional and resulted in an influx of orders for cards to be given to their loved ones too. This continued for some time, with my cards all the while becoming more and more popular and in demand.

People began to place larger orders for all their card requirements throughout the year so that they were always to hand and much more personal than shop-bought cards. I began to host a number of card parties within people's homes and attended craft events including Christmas fairs. I was soon astounded by the huge amount of positive feedback and sales received.

I got such a sense of wellbeing from this and soon decided to expand my hobby a further step and started to exhibit at local wedding fairs. As a result of this, orders for wedding stationery started to flood in and I enlisted the help of my mum, Maureen, in making up the orders. I have recently moved to Staffordshire with my partner David who is extremely motivated and supportive and together we have now turned what was once a hobby into a truly inspiring business.

Here at "Made For The Moment" no job is too large or small. We specialise in wedding stationery, cards for every occasion, and all things beautiful. We are also looking into expanding so as to be able to offer additional handmade items such as tiaras, keepsake boxes, guest books, disposable cameras and other exquisite gifts and items to enhance your special day.
